The Annabessacook Lake Improvement Association (ALIA) is committed to preserving and protecting Annabessacook Lake, located in the towns of Winthrop and Monmouth, Maine.

Our objectives are to:

  • Promote public awareness of water quality-related issues.

  • Educate the public about strategies to protect water quality.

  • Enlist citizen, organization, municipal, and state involvement in the Association’s mission.

  • Support initiatives by organizations, state agencies, and others benefiting Annabessacook Lake and its watershed

  • Conduct programs in support of conserving Lake Annabessacook.

  • Provide a forum for discussion of issues of interest to Association members.
